Big Half 2025 – Done

I’ve been a bit late posting, but yes, I did complete the Big Half 2025, despite the curveballs thrown such as tube strikes and er.. the heat, and maybe being a bit quick for the first few miles. It was a great atmosphere on the day, organisation was smooth, despite being a bit worried I might be late due to having the extra distance to walk and less frequent trains etc I made it to my starting pen on time.…

Blood Cancer UK 2025 Fundraiser

Today I had my 6 month consultation with my haematologist – almost 2 years after I finished treatment for my Hairy Cell Leukaemia relapse. The news is all good, as normal as can be – next check-up in 6 months. So, in addition to a consultation in September, I will be running The Big Half in London, raising funds for Blood Cancer UK. First Oak Hill Park Run of 2015

After being dragged out of bed on Christmas morning to do the Christmas Day Park Run, today was my first official run of 2015. Royal Parks Half Marathon 2014 Done!

After 28 training runs (according to MapMyRun) I completed the Royal Parks Half marathon on Sunday 12th October.  My official finishing time was 1 hour 48 minutes and 38 seconds, which is now my new personal best (also, set PB for 10k over the first 10k).  I would like to thank all those who sponsored me for this event.  I raised a total (to date) of £266.75 for Men United, Prostate Cancer UK.
