I am very pleased to get the opportunity to play Beethoven’s 9th Symphony at forthcoming “Concert For Europe” concert in St Sepulchre Church on July 30th. The Orchestra and Choir will meet up for first time on the morning of the concert to rehearse this work, culminating with an evening concert.
In the spirit of unity and celebrating all that is good in Europe, professional and amateur players and singers are coming together for a special performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9. It culminates, of course, with Beethoven’s immortal setting of Schiller’s Ode to Joy, the anthem of the European Union.
