On Saturday 27th I had the pleasure of spending some time in the studio to record some trumpet lines for Mrs Q’s debut album.  After much delaying, Helen has finally got around to kicking off this project big time.  I am not going to spoil anything by revealing much about the album content, that wouldn’t be fair, you can probably guess if you know Mrs Q’s vocals, that they will be impeccable, and there will be a fair chunk of brass involved too.

I know I am biased, but what I have heard so far, it has all the promise of being a very successful project, showing off Helen’s vocal qualities, not to mention those of her talented arrangers, fellow musicians, collaborators and the tech team at Auburn Jam Music.

Thanks to Roy Young who also attended to play some trombone lines.
