While on the Isle of Man recently for a family event, we took some timeout to visit the sights and do some hiking (well, gentle stroll for me due to my recovery from illness).  It’s a bit odd for me not to have many pictures from the Isle of Man considering I lived there for 7.5 years!

Pictures are from Peel Beach, a stroll from Bradda Glen up to Milner tower on Bradda Head, a reasonably gentle cliff top walk until the last steep section (if you choose to take that path, which my 7 year old nephew did, up it like a ferret!).  From here there are great views back over Port Erin, Port St. Mary and to the south of the Island to Calf of Man.

Isle of Man August 2017

The Classic TT was on this weekend so took a stroll up to the TT Grandstand before the Saturday racing to soak up the atmosphere and take a few shots of the classic bikes.  My skills as photographer are not yet good enough to catch any decent action shots of the racing when it started (I also use the excuse I’m limited by my equipment.. 🙂 )

We also visited the secluded Garwick Beach where, even though it was a bit cloudy, was a good opportunity for some coastal shots.

Was glad to also get a couple of pictures of the Laxey Wheel (and vintage tractor parked nearby) in the sun.
