I am quite excited to play in a brass quintet again, especially with members of the BBC Elstree Concert Band whom I’ve played with occasionally. The concert is part of a marathon evening of music making in aid of Children in Need which has been organised by the BBC Club. The BBC Club was founded in 1924 as a private members club and has been a part of BBC Life for over 80 years. Today the Club is the heart of social unity within the BBC.
I have previously attended rehearsals with the BBC Ariel Big Band at the marvellous BBC Maida Vale studios and I play on the BBC Elstree Concert band CD recording (available for purchase here)
